A multitude bound as one. Creatures of nightmare, each fulfilling their role in an intricate, incomprehensible system. Stripped from my world, I am forced to strengthen their collective and advance their agenda. Yet these beings transcend mindless savagery. Strategy and intellect guide them. This offers a possibility. From within their ranks, I could exert influence—bend their purpose away from slaughter toward salvation. I could preserve lives. I could protect those dearest to me.
