Alpha's Little Miracle

Chapter 111

Ch. 111 / 127 Aug 27, 2025

ADRIA’S POV.

No. Stop. Don’t, Adria. Don’t do it…

I cried within, but watched helplessly, as I pushed the door open silently.

Upon seeing Lucien laying innocently in bed, resentment filled me. Good thing that he didn’t lock his door. That way, I’d get to him quicker.

I walked towards him stealthily, and immediately I got to him, I flashed out my claws, and brought them down hard. Lucien’s eyes flew open, and he rolled away, landing on his feet the minute he was off the bed.

My claws dug into the bed, and tore out white foam viciously.

Lucien, who was still a little shocked, took out his claws, and I bared my fangs at him in a snarl.

In a single bound, I climbed atop the bed, and flew at him, leaping out to get to him.

He took hold of my right hand, and I used the other to try to hit him. I feigned hitting him in the tummy, and changed my direction at the last moment, managing to hit his face.

He flung me to the floor, and I landed hard on it, but it only made me angrier. I snarled angrily, and lifted his desk, ignoring the things on it.

I hurled it at him. He ducked, and the desk crashed hard into the wall, then he raced to me in seconds, and could have smashed my head into the wall, but restrained himself, giving me a chance to elbow him in the tummy.

He growled, and took hold of my wrists, but I wasn’t done.

My knee went up hard, smashing into his privates.

Lucien groaned, and turned away, while I seized the chance, and plunged my claws deep into his lower back.

In a blur that I hadn’t expected, he had turned, and pushed me to the floor with his hand deviously fastened to my neck, choking me.

My eyes opened as wide as my mouth, as I tried to gasp for breath.

He roared, and his force became even stronger. Wherever I had been in my body, I had been forced out. My hands slapped against his, trying to stop him from killing me, but it was hard.

He was too strong.

“Lu…cien.” I managed to choke out. A look of slight fear crossed his eyes, and he took his hands off immediately.

I gasped for breath, and began to cry, as that had been too close. If I hadn’t been able to call his name, he might have been lost in his pain, and raged enough to murder me without knowing it.

“I’m sorry.” He apologized, cradling me to his chest.

“I’m fine… I’m just shocked.” I said, pulling away from him, and gazing into his troubled eyes.

“I’m sorry. I’ll take you home right now…”

“Do you think I’m going to back off? You managed to shock me back to myself, so it’s fine.”

“What are you saying? I could have killed you…”

“But you didn’t…”

“If I had used my claws instead of my fingers…”

“But you didn’t.” I interrupted, once more.

“What about next time? What’s the guarantee that I won’t succeed in killing you next time?” He asked, and I shook my head.

“It won’t happen, so stop thinking that way.” I snapped, and he ran a hand through his hair while letting out a frustrated sigh.

“Adria…”

“I’ll get some sleep now. Lock your doors, and windows always. Let’s fight only in the daytime.” I concluded, getting to my feet, and I saw him bite his lower lip in frustration.

He wasn’t the only tired one. I was also sick of fighting the urge to kill him. I wanted to be with him always, and it was killing me to have a problem I was unable to figure where I could begin to tackle it.

When I got back to the room I was sleeping in, I locked the door, and sighed to myself.

The breeze was pouring in from the windows heavily, and the room was filled with it.

It was quite a windy night. I went to sit on a chair next to the window, and a breeze floated in, calming me.

Lucien’s grip had been one of steel, and I had felt like I was going to die. When he had said it in the afternoon that it could be the other way around, I had thought little of it, and that had been a mistake on my part.

Days passed by quicker, and quicker, and you might be surprised I had almost been killed by Lucien up to eight times.

With each passing day, the fight grew more intense, and got longer. I was getting more competitive, and just like a boxer practicing getting better. Lucien seemed to be my practice partner, and because of him, I got faster with my blows, and strikes.

Dodging had never been my specialty, but days of fighting with Lucien had sharpened my dodging skills.

Lucien wasn’t used to getting hurt because he had obviously been the winner in every fight he’d had, and the vampire in me, knowing I was his weakness, had taken advantage of his restraints and caution.

At every opportunity where Lucien held back, I scratched him, and his retaliation was crazy.

The last time, his nails had been seconds from tearing out my neck, it was my scream that had stopped him.

And he had gotten mad at me, and told me to leave the house, and that I wasn’t to go anywhere near him.

I knew it was because he cared about me, but him getting mad at me saddened me.

I was only trying to stay with him.

Things only got worse, as the exams had finally arrived. Reading was very hard, and most of the time, my books were soaked with my tears.

I had lost weight considerably, and gotten even more quiet.

My friends noticed, but I told them I had insomnia, and it was telling on me.

Finally, we sat in the halls with our exam answer sheets in front of us, and the strangest, and scariest thing happened to me.

As I stared down at the questions, they suddenly began to swim in the paper.
