Billionaire's Abandoned Love Slave

Chapter67 A narrow alley

Ch. 67 / 68 Jan 20, 2025

Ryan's POV

I frowned in confusion as I followed Ophelia and the strange man's car down a creepy alley devoid of life and light to a strange motel that I never even knew existed.

Chills raced through my spine as realization dawned on me that the man definitely had an evil plan up his sleeve. There were various hotels and motels along the road on the way to this eerie motel but the man hadn't stopped by any.

Something was definitely fishy and I had to find out what it was.

My breath hitched in my throat when the man alighted from the car, went to Ophelia's side and dragged her out like a goat. My hands immediately bunched into fists with anger radiating my face as I glared at the man unable to do anything because I wanted to catch him in the act.

I couldn't just walk up to him and accuse him of being a rapist without an evidence and who even knew whether it was a weird thing between him and Ophelia.

The last thought caused my heart to become weighed with despondence and uncertainty.

What if I was just overthinking it and nothing was wrong?

Should I just turn the car around and drive away?

I nibbled on my lower lips as I mulled over the kazillion questions sprouting out of my mind like weeds.

Fuck it. I had already driven this far, so there was no point going back.

When I yanked myself out of my reverie, Ophelia and the man had disappeared but the car was still parked in front of the motel where it was before.

I heaved a sharp exhale before I switched the ignition off, and hopped out of the car.

Trekking stealthily like a thief in the night, I entered the reception, stylishly roaming my eyes around the dimly lit lobby to find Ophelia and the man.

"Good evening, sir. You are welcome to hotel de prestige, how may we be of help to you?" I heard a feminine voice ask me from behind which made my eyes gape in horror.

Shit, what would I say to her? I didn't hatch up a plan before I got down from my car.

How could I have forgotten to do something so important?

Not wanting her to suspect me, I spun around to face her with a face devoid of emotion, "Hey, there."

Her cheeks reddened as she ducked her head downward a little.

Fuck. I almost forgot my charms.

That would go a long way to help me.

So, I forced a charming smile on my face before I cleared my throat to get her attention, "Actually, I need your help,"

She frowned, "I don't understand. My help for what, sir?"

I remained unperturbed as my smile widened, with my lips almost splitting apart in the process, "Actually, you caught my attention immediately I walked in here but I didn't want to say anything because I didn't want to act too forward," I lied, guilt pinching my heart as my thoughts strayed to Ophelia.

I'm sorry, baby. I didn't mean to say that. That's the only way I can find an answer to this confusing mess. I inwardly apologized to Ophelia.

Her face grew darker with crimson, and she tried to hide a smile as she blocked fervently, "T-thank you, sir. I'm flattered,"

"So, will you help me?" I asked, throwing on the most vulnerable expression I could muster.

"Gladly, sir. I will do anything I can to be of help to you, sir,"

Great. Everything was going according to plan.

I sighed deeply before saying, "A man and a woman just checked in and I really need to see the woman right now, it's urgent. Can you ring them down or something?"

"A man and a woman? A lot of couples have walked in here in the past five minutes, so I'm sorry I don't think I can help you with such a vague description. Perhaps, do you know their names, so I can look them up on our record?"

The receptionist calling Ophelia and the man a couple infuriated me, but I had to hide it.

I couldn't blow my cover yet. I had to be reassured of Ophelia's safety.

"Ophelia Alvarez is the woman I'm looking for and as for the man, I don't know his name," I replied, to which she nodded before typing away on the computer on her desk.

"I'm sorry, sir. But I can't find that name in our record. We always make sure to get the name of our guests in our record, and I've checked through the names of the women who have lodged in since the day began but I can't find her name." The receptionist uttered, and my heart cut.

"Maybe check somewhere else or try to recall the man's name," She suggested.

I ran my hand through my disheveled locks in frustration, stifling the urge to growl in anger.

Fuck. Fuck. Shit. Fuck.

Time was ticking fast and only the heavens knew if something horrible hadn't happened to Ophelia yet.

I didn't even want to picture the sight. It made my insides churn with disgust and ire.

"I don't know his name. But I can describe them, will that help?" I asked.

"Let's give that a trial," She shrugged.

"So, they are both brunettes. The man is tall, but not as tall as I am, and the woman's hair is bobbed. She was wearing a beige trenchcoat and the man was wearing a navy suit." I recited.

She scrunched her face in concentration for a moment and I was tempted to yell at her to be fast but I suppressed my impatience.

"Oh. I know them. The woman looked quite high, yeah?" She gasped, to which I nodded fervently.

"Yes, yes. Exactly. She looked drugged," I said.

"They were checked in by my colleague who is a friend of the man. Before I help you with their room number, may I ask you what your relationship with the woman is, for security reasons?"

"I'm her fiancé," The lie jumped out of my mouth, and the receptionist's face crumpled with sadness but at that moment, I didn't care.

All I cared about was Ophelia's well-being.

"That man is a fucking psychopath. He drugged her and brought her to this place away from the city. You have to help me with this, miss." I uttered.

"Okay, I will. His name is Lucas Gallagher and he registered the woman's name as Lana Tuvelo," She said, clicking on the mouse with her full concentration on the computer.

I balled my hands into fists, "That fucking bastard," I seethed.

"Their room number is 312B, have the key card," She handed me a black card with a smile.

"Good luck," She said before I could thank her.

"Thank you so much," I said before dashing towards the room.

I heard groans and grunts coming out of the room as I inched closer, and my heart clenched with anxiety.

"You're mine, you fucking slut," I heard a man yell from inside and immediately without knocking, I swiped the card against the door and opened it.

What I saw made me lock my jaw angrily, clench my fists tighter and glare at the man who was on top of Ophelia. My Ophelia.

From the corner of my eyes, I saw that Ophelia was laying stark naked below the man, with a bruise on her face and tears rolling down her face.

"Who the hell are you?" The bastard asked after turning his head towards me.

"Fucking jerk," I gritted before yanking him off Ophelia.

As he made to retort, I struck his face with a fist-breaking punch.
