His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 250

Ch. 250 / 264 Apr 07, 2026

Annette looked at Alina and said, "Because I never hurt her."

  Lucas sneered sarcastically.

Annette said, "From what you said, I guess you don't know what really happened. Just now, I was praying to the Moon Goddess. I wished that Connor and I would be happy together, and I also wished the same for you and Ms. Grace. But she was angry because of this. She thought that I was humiliating her. Is it wrong for me to hope that you are happy?"

Lucas seemed to have calmed down.

Alina turned to Annette and said, "I will pray for myself, Ms. Hall, I don't need you to do it for me. "

"So, I told you at that time. I mean no harm. If you need it, I can apologize to you."

  Annette's words left Alina speechless.

  Lucas was getting angry.

Annette added, "Ms. Grace, you lost your mind and roared at me. Then, you found Lucas to target me. You said that you wanted the family to be at peace, but what you said was completely different from what you did. Ms. Grace, may I ask what exactly I did wrong?

Alina clenched his fist and looked up at Connor.

He looked like he had nothing to do with her, which made her feel desperate.

"I didn't say that you were wrong. I cried not because of you. Lucas came to you because he mistakenly thought that there was something unpleasant between you and me. I never wanted any conflict within this family. If I did, I wouldn't ask you to act along with me that day."

Marcus said awkwardly, "Annette, I'm sorry. I asked Alina what happened between you two. Lucas overheard it and he misunderstood. That's why things turned this way."

Annette looked at the silent Lucas and said, "You should apologize to me for your groundless accusation against me just now."

  Lucas looked at her coldly.

At this time, Connor said, "I agree. You shouldn't throw a tantrum at innocent people. She's kind enough and only asks you to apologize."

Lucas sneered sarcastically, "I will never apologize to anyone from the Black Thorn Pack."

Annette was not angry. Instead, she said, "That's right, I am Lance's daughter, but I have never done anything to hurt the Blood Moon Pack. So, Lucas, I hope you can be fair to me. The Black Thorn Pack owes Bartz, but I don't owe you anything. I have no reason and no obligation to blindly tolerate you. But, anyway, you are Connor's brother. Even if you don't apologize to me, I can't do anything to you."

Lucas looked like he was losing his cool.

Marcus rushed forward and said, "Connor, Annette's hair is still wet. Take her upstairs to dry her hair. I will send Lucas and Alina back to rest."

Connor and Annette did not move. Marcus went forward to push Lucas and pulled Alina away.

Annette sighed and turned to look at Connor. "This is great. I have completely offended Lucas and Alina."

Connor pinched her cheek and said, "It's okay. You still have me."

With his words, Annette suddenly felt that she had backup.

He took her upstairs to dry her hair.

Annette had just picked up the hairdryer then he grabbed it.

  "Let me do it."

Annette looked at him in the mirror. The smile on her face was very bright.

"I can actually get the honorable Alpha Connor to help me dry my hair."

"It is indeed your luck to pick up such a man. You have to treat me well in the future, understand?"

Annette rolled her eyes at him in the mirror.

He simply loved the way she looked when she couldn't do anything to him.

He could never get enough of it.

Conner and Annette were having a sweet moment.

However, it was totally different with Lucas and Alina at the same time.

Lucas still looked gloomy after he returned to his residence.

Alina lowered his eyes and did not speak.

Since the atmosphere was so tense, Marcus chose to leave as soon as possible.

"Well, I left something at their place. I've got to go get it. Sleep tight."

Alina forced a smile at Marcus and said, "Sure, then I won't send you off."

  "Yeah. That's no need."

Marcus glanced at Lucas and then trotted toward the door.

After he left, Lucas asked the servants in the living room to leave.

The room suddenly felt empty and gloomy.

  Alina's cautious expression became indifferent.

She turned around and sat down on the sofa, ignoring Lucas, who was behind her.

Lucas pressed the button on his wheelchair and moved to the sofa. He asked, "Don't you think you should tell me something?"

Alina looked at him coldly and said, "What do you want me to say? Thanks to you, I'm now a bad person in Annette's eyes."

"Didn't you do something wrong first? Do you hate our marriage so much that you can't even accept other's blessing for it?"

Alina got up and said, "No, not her. I'm fine with people blessing our marriage, but not from her."

"Why? Is it because she is Connor's mate? Alina, who am I to you?"

Alina turned her head away and did not look into his eyes.

"Our relationship didn't begin with love. So, it stays that way even though we are married."

Lucas looked at her in disappointment and said, "Have I not been good to you for all these years?"

Alina closed his eyes and said, "You can't force someone to love you. Stop guilt-tripping me!"

"Do you think you can change anything by secretly loving Connor? He doesn't have feelings for you anymore. Everyone can see that he is so in love with Annette. Only you are still lying to yourself."

Alina turned around and glared at him. "Stop it."

"No, I won't. Or you'll never wake up? Connor doesn't know what kind of person you are, but I do. If Connor knows what you have done, guess what he will do to you?"

Her eyes turned cold instantly. She said angrily, "Are you threatening me?"

"Am I? If you consider this a threat, then it is." His eyes also became cold. He said, "Back then, I used this matter to make you marry me. Now, I can also use it to make you stop dreaming about Connor."

  "You are so despicable."

Lucas looked at her coldly and said, "Well, that makes us a perfect match."

Alina trembled with anger over his words.

Lucas sighed and said, "You don't have to be so angry. As long as you don't do anything silly, I won't push you. After all, I love you. No one in this world can love you more than me."

Alina stood up and walked upstairs without looking at him.

Lucas thought he could control her.

But she refused to let him win.

She got bolder since Lucas loved her so much.

The next morning, when Connor and Annette were having breakfast, Alina came over alone.

Alina came forward with a dull face and said, "Connor, Ms. Hall, I'm afraid I'll have to disturb you for a few days."

Connor and Annette did not speak.

Alina said, "Last night, Lucas and I had a fight after we got back. So, Lucas went home first. I know that you don't want to see me these days, but he left me here alone. I can't go back by myself. So, I'll have to stay with you guys."

After she finished speaking, she looked at Annette with grievance and said, "Ms. Hall, you don't mind, do you?"

Annette looked at Connor and said. "Alpha Connor has the final call. So, Ms. Grace, you should ask him for it."

Connor looked at Dwayne and said, "Get the car ready and send Ms. Grace home later."

"I'm not going home." Alina said anxiously, "Connor, can you not force me? If you decide to send me home, then I will leave and stay at a hotel alone."

"This is a problem between you and him. I guess we don't need to deal with it for you, right?" Connor said coldly, "We need a private space. Our place is not that spacious and it's not convenient for you to stay."

"I won't stay in your villa. I'll stay at mine. So, I won't disturb you."

Connor ignored her and only said, "This is your problem with Lucas. You should go back and solve it with him."

"We had a big fight this time. If I go back, we will quarrel again. But I'm pregnant, so I can't move out now."

Seeing that Connor still did not agree, Alina said, "You don't own the whole place. That villa belongs to Lucas, so I have the right to live here. I came to say hello just to show some respect. Why do you have to treat me like this?"

Connor did not look at her. He said to Dwayne, "Call the chef from Lucas' home and ask him to start working today. From today on, Ms. Grace will live in her own place."

Dwayne said respectfully, "Yes. Alpha Connor."

Alina took a deep breath and said to Dwayne, "Dwayne, I'm hungry. Set the table for me."

  "Yes, Ms. Grace."

As soon as Alina sat down, Annette put down his knife and fork. He smiled at Connor and Alina and said, "I'm done eating. You two enjoy the food. I'll go upstairs now."

Just as Annette was about to leave, Connor said to her, "Let's go upstairs together. I'm also full."

The two of them left together, leaving Alina alone at the dining table.

She sat in frustration and grabbed the hem of her dress.

She thought that if not for Annette, Connor wouldn't treat her like this.

Connor used to cherish her so much that he couldn't even bear to see her suffer.
