One Night Stand

Chapter 19

Ch. 19 / 23 Mar 10, 2026

As soon as Malcolm and I entered the penthouse we were greeted not by silence but by a man, a man who I had never seen before.

The man looked like a similar version of Malcolm, like the Malcolm two years ago. He had exactly the same features as Malcolm, only he was a little less muscular than Malcolm.

I glanced at Malcolm only to see his face breaking in a huge smile. He went towards the man and pulled him in for a manly hug.

"Mason, how are you?" Malcolm said.

"I'm fine, brother, how are you," Mason replied. I mentally smacked myself, of course, he was Malcolm's brother, there was no other way he could've resembled him so strongly.

"Are the others here as well or only you?" Malcolm questioned with a smile.

"Are you kidding?! All of us are here, they are in the living room," Mason replied.

Malcolm nodded and begun following his brother to the living but I stopped him by calling out his name.

"Mr. Bennett?" He turned to face me. "Where do you want me to put these bags?" I enquired, holding up the bags in my hands.

"Take them to your room for now, we'll discuss their placement later," Malcolm said before turning and heading towards the living room.

Nodding my head I headed to my room but paused when I entered the living room and I saw three other men. All of them resembled Malcolm in one way or the other. They all had the same dark eyes and muscular body and all of them exuded an aura of power and arrogance. These men scared me, and if all of them were related to Malcolm like Mason was then I was in trouble.

All five of the men were busy talking animatedly amongst themselves so they did not notice me standing there gawking at them, which was perfect. After I had surveyed each man, I hastily went to my room and placed the shopping bags on my bed.

Rummaging through the shopping bags, I took out one of three pairs of socks that I had selected and took out a stuffed teddy bear as well. I smiled as I imagined my baby wearing the socks; the cute little socks protecting my baby from the cold in winter. I gazed at the stuffed bear, imagining my baby playing with it, having tea parties and sleeping with the bear as I read a bed time story.

The ultrasound proved to me that there was another human being inside me, but that ultrasound scared me to no end. I was terrified for my baby's future. But now, looking at all these things that Malcolm bought for the baby made me smile. Just holding these socks in my hand made me believe that my baby would not get cold during winters.

The door of my bedroom opened and Malcolm sauntered in. I hastily put the socks and the bear back in the bags. Malcolm didn't say I could touch these things, he only told me to keep them in my room until further notice.

"Mr. Bennett, what would you like me to do?" I asked him, standing up.

"My brothers are here and they will be staying here for the next few days, I don't know when they'll leave and frankly I don't even care, it's their home they can stay however long they want. But I want their stay here to be perfect, which means no mistakes from you, not even a tiny one. Right now I want you make lunch for them, and make sure it is perfect," Malcolm informed me.

Wow, four brothers, that was a lot. I didn't even have any sibling - well not anymore - so I had no clue what it was like having four brothers. And Malcolm wanted his brothers to have a memorable stay here, which meant he would not tolerate any mistakes from me.

You just have to keep his brothers happy and not do anything stupid and give them a chance to complain, otherwise you will have to deal with one pissed off Malcolm Bennett. No pressure.

"What would you like me to cook, Mr. Bennett?" I asked, wringing my hands to stop my anxiety from growing.

"Make chicken Alfredo and a pizza, you know how to make pizza?" Malcolm enquired.

I nodded my head frantically. "Yes, yes, I know how to make everything," I answered.

"Good, it's 12:00 pm right now, you have four hours to do all this, I want lunch to be on the dining table at exactly 4:00 pm, is that clear?" He stated.

My heart started pounding at the mention of four hours. How was I going to accomplish this in four hours? Shit! I was doomed.

Nodding my head, I watched Malcolm leave my room. Not wanting to waste time, I hurried in the kitchen and begun preparing lunch.

I had just begun grating the cheese to make pizza when one of Malcolm's brother entered the kitchen. His sudden presence made me jump in surprise, the block of cheese nearly slipping from my hand.

"Hi," he said, eyeing me from head to toe, clearly judging me. Did he know I was pregnant with Malcolm's baby? If so, I bet he was disappointed to find a poor girl as the mother of his niece or nephew.

"Hello," I responded, not wanting to be rude. Even though I didn't want to talk to him, I knew I couldn't be rude to him as he would tell Malcolm and then Malcolm was going to have my head for lunch.

I just wanted him out of here, but when he sat down on one of the stools, I knew he was not leaving anytime soon.

Shit!
