The Third Person’s POV
Cena walked up to the proprietor's office with his hands clasped behind him. He felt a pang of guilt inside of him for telling Amaya about the hidden secrets between him, and the school proprietor. However, he counterattacked his conscience with the fact that Amaya eavesdropped on their conversation, allowing her to get a clue about it. He would have been shit in her front if he had failed to tell her who Nikki was.
He got to the front of the office, and stood there for some seconds, trying to maintain his exterior. As he knocked, the door creaked open, revealing a dimly lit room adorned with ancient artifacts and the faint glow of a desk lamp. The proprietor looked up as he entered.
"Oh, you are here!" The proprietor murmured, his voice a low rumble, yet, distinct in ears. Cena nodded, his keen eyes studying the mysterious figure before him. "You called for me," he stated, his voice a gravelly growl.
"Yes," The proprietor responded, gesturing for Cena to take a seat. The proprietor looked so cold, causing the room to be charged with an unspoken tension as Cena settled into a chair opposite the desk. "I have concerns," the proprietor began, leaning forward slightly.
Cena's sharp ears caught every nuance of the proprietor's words. "Concerns? I don't understand this," he urged, his eyes narrowing.
The proprietor hesitated before continuing, "Have you told our secret to Amaya?" He asked frantically, his gaze bearing on Cena, searching for any hint of deception.
Cena shook his head emphatically. "No, I haven't breathed a word to her about our secret," he stated firmly. The tension in the room increased as the proprietor scrutinized Cena's expression.
The proprietor's eyes glinted with suspicion. "I find that hard to believe, Cena. Why is she eavesdropping on our conversations?" he remarked coolly. "Amaya has been acting strangely lately, and I suspect she may know more than she lets on."
Cena's brow furrowed. "I assure you. I have kept our secrets well-guarded," he declared, his tone unwavering.
The proprietor leaned back, fingers steepled in thought. "Actions speak louder than words, Cena. How can I trust that you haven't by mistake revealed our secret to her?"
"I am loyal to our kind, and I would never play with our safety. Amaya remains unaware of our secret," he insisted, his eyes ablaze with conviction.
The proprietor laughed, a wicked laughter more or less like mockery, and said, "Make sure she doesn't know about it, Cena. A word is enough for a wise!"
Cena nodded, acknowledging the words of the proprietor. "I will do as you ask," Cena said, rising from his seat.
"Remember, Cena. That girl must not know about our hidden plan," The proprietor warned, his voice lethal. Cena nodded for the last time and moved out of the office.
Just as Cena moved out of the office, he began to walk past the corridor of the school, thinking about what he could do to save himself from the mess. The proprietor is a very wise and manipulative man. He would know his hidden plan if he had told Amaya if he didn't look for a quick solution. The way the proprietor talked about Amaya's matter made him bothered.
Cena froze in place as three werewolves walked up to him. "You are dead, Cena," snarled one of the werewolves, his fur featuring with aggression. Without a moment's hesitation, they lunged at Cena, teeth bared and claws clashing together.
In the twinkle of an eye, the corridor became a battleground. Cena moved with a cautioned fist as he shifted to his beast form. The first werewolf lunged at his throat with his teeth, but he sidestepped with his unique agility. The clash of their fur and fang resounded all over the place.
"You are a traitor, Cena," another werewolf spat, its voice dripping with disdain. Cena still holding onto his fist, his eyes were ablaze with determination.
"What have I done, and who are you?" he demanded, His voice quivering.
"You have betrayed us, Cena. You are nothing but a woman wrapper. You could not even keep a simple secret to yourself!" The werewolf said and lunged at Cena again.
Cena, at some point, loses guard, and his stomach is smashed by the claws of the werewolves. He fell on the floor, feeling weak-kneed, and watched his belly bleed blood.
The werewolf was just about to gash through Cena's neck when a beam of light fell on his face. The werewolf fell on the floor and grunted in pain. Amaya came into view, featuring her light ability in her hands. The remaining werewolves lunged at her, and she threw them away with her beam of light.
Amaya helped Cena up to his feet while the werewolf stood up hurriedly and ran out of the scene. Cena looked into Amaya's eyes, his eyes glaring at her strangely. He couldn't believe she could be the hero to save his day. His love for her increased by a meter, as she held her hands and looked into her eyes.
