She's a killer, but aren't they all?

CORA'S POV
We were to stay on the planet until we had a set location to travel to, our ship was docked about a mile from the city.
I was walking to my room on board, when I sensed a presence behind me.
I cocked my head to the side as I saw Kaiyus running to my side. "Hey flower girl." He said cheerfully.
"What is it?" I snapped, I didn't like this newfound nickname, I was forced into that blouse.
He gave me a weird look as he shook his head, "nothing really."
He was handsome looking, without that scowl on his face. His emerald eyes looked dangerously into mine.
"What do you want?" I muttered as I walked faster.
He matched my pace with ease, "why do you assume there is something I want?" "Everyone wants something." I said simply as I took a sharp left.
"True..." He said slowly with a small steady smile "but I don't."
I stopped walking, this man was bothering me "Then why are you following me?"
He shrugged, "I'm simply curious."
I raised an eyebrow for him to continue.
"The murderous Lord who everyone thought was a demented man, is actually just a beautiful young girl.
I pushed away his compliment and gave him a pointed look.
"It's a curious situation." He said with a charming smile, but his eyes said he wanted something.
"So you want information?" I guessed.
He shrugged again, "I just want to talk, come talk with me flower power." Yeah. He wants information.
"Don't call me that." I spat.
"My dear little flower" he grinned "won't you please talk with me?"
I looked down the hall hoping to see Kylo, but there was no such luck, and all hope for a rescue mission was lost.
"If you will shut up, then fine I'll talk with you."
An ear-to-ear smile broke out on his face, "Good, get dressed we're going to get dinner."
I frowned, "Pardon? No! We're just going to talk here, I'm not going to get dinner with you."
He faked a tear, "that hurts flower child. You need something decent to eat and all the food on this ship is total shit. Get dressed and meet me at the south hanger."
He turned around and walked away.
"Kaiyus? Kaiyus! I'm not-" I sighed, he wasn't going to listen.
Why would he walk away from me when we were still talking? And who demands someone to go to dinner with them?
I rolled my eyes and made my way back to my room.
I pulled open the closet and frowned to see that someone had stocked it with more clothes.
Kylo. A smile threatened my face, and I pushed it away.
I pushed through the garments until I found a colored sweater. It was blue, a baby blue, simple , yet decently attractive.
I had never worn a sweater of this color, or any color for that matter, and I relished in the way the soft material grazed my skin and clung to my body.
I slid on a pair of tight black pants and laced up my black boots.
I splashed water on my face, combed through my hair, and grabbed a cloak in my hands that contained my saber in the belt.
I made my way to the hanger that Kaiyus had instructed me to go to, though I hate it when people tell me what to do.
Kaiyus was waiting for me, wearing a collared white shirt, and dark pants.
He was about to say something when I beat him to it, "don't you ever order me around, or force me to go to dinner with you. I'm only going because I'm hungry."
He pushed his bleach hair from his eyes, "yes flower." "And stop calling me flower or I swear to fucking go-" "Cora?"
I frowned and turned to the voice of Kylo.
He eyed what I was wearing and then turned to Kaiyus.
"Where do you think you're going?" He asked as he walked over to me. His dark hair was shaggy and yet fit his dark outline perfectly.
"We were getting something to eat, would you like to come?" What the hell is wrong with me? Am I being...considerate?
He looked to Kaiyus again, "no, I'm fine." He said in a clipped tone.
"I'm going to start walking. Catch up when you're done." Kaiyus said by my side, and I shot him a glare.
He looked at me and nodded, "you look good in blue."
Heat pooled in my cheeks and I frowned to myself, what the hell is happening? "Thank you, for the clothes." Did I just thank Kylo Ren?
I must be going mental. He waved it away, "I suppose you couldn't continue to wear men's clothes" his eyes looked over me "this is much better."
Without waiting for me to reply he walked away. People need to stop walking away from me.
I turned and jogged to catch up to Kaiyus, where we walked the two miles to the restaurant in comfortable silence.
It was a dark, yet well-lit establishment, I took my seat across from Kaiyus and sighed.
This was my first time in a restaurant. Goreum made me study all things in the universe, dining was one of them, you wait for a server, order, pay the bill, and leave.
I reminded myself on how to act in the establishment, when I felt Kaiyus's eyes bore into me.
"Flower."
"What." I seethed.
"Tell me about yourself, where did you grow up?" He asked as he played with the the candle.
"Captive. I was kidnapped when I was young, and brought on board the Lord Goreum's Sith ship, where I trained for most of my life on how to be a weapon."
"Touchy" he grinned "Why kill all of those civilians, not that I have anything against it, job well done, but why?"
"To promote the word of the Sith, and when I changed forces, I did the same with the First order."
He stuck his finger in the flame of the candle, and pulled it away a few moments later.
"Why did you change forces?"
"Survival, the Sith were bound to die out, and at that time I had met Kylo, we had our exchange, I changed forces, and then helped the First Order destroy the only remaining Sith symbol."
He glanced at me, "damn, flower." He suddenly smiled "on a first name basis with Kylo Ren, are you?"
I silently cursed myself for allowing that informal slip up. A server approached us, and Kaiyus ordered for me. "How did you and Kylo meet?"
I almost smiled at the memory, it seemed so far away now, everything that had happened that day, the day that had completely changed my life.
"I was attacking a planet, killing the inhabitants like I had been doing prior, when I sensed him." I sighed "he is a powerful force. We fought, it was a well, even battle until he got a good hit at me and fell, he unmasked me and like you, he was completely taken off guard."
Kaiyus frowned, "he didn't try to kill you?"
I shook my head, "my guess is that he had other orders not to kill me. After he took off my mask I passed out from blood loss, and woke up a few days later in interrogation."
His eyebrows furrowed together, "blood loss? That's pretty serious, how many weeks were you out?"
Weeks?
I frowned, "I was feeling fine a few days later, I guess it wasn't that big a deal."
He hummed as he looked deep into my eyes, after a few moments he shook his head and broke eye contact.
"Curious." He muttered. "What is?"
"The isolation you have, you grew up fighting and that's it. you must have been sad and lonely." He sighed.
"Enlighten me."
"You must not even know what the simple pleasures in life are." "Enlighten me again." I muttered.
"To laugh, smile, have fun. To actually fall in love with someone, to be happy and alive." He sent me a sympathetic glance.
"Those are all weaknesses, the love that some will feel, will only hold them back. Love doesn't exist, all you foolish people do is spend your life searching for your one true love. And when you find them, you're already dead, because you're done searching, and all you're doing is coasting through life with the same old routine with the same old person."
He laughed humorlessly, "little flower, is that what you were taught?"
I took in a deep breath to control my temper, "it's a fact. Love is a weakness." He hummed and folded his hands on the table.
"What about happiness? Joy?" "They're unnecessary."
He chuckled, "I wonder, Cora. If you let your guard down just a little, you might actually enjoy yourself. If you let yourself be open to love, then maybe you wouldn't be so hopeless and dark."
I clenched my hands under the table, he is really beginning to piss me off. "Hopeless? Dark?"
He gave me another charming smile, and my anger lessened somewhat.
"Yes, you might not be able to admit it, but I see the darkness in your eyes, you're cold and evil, but that's who you are, and maybe all of this evil that you are, is a shield, to protect yourself from what you, or anyone would really want."
"And what is that?" "Love."
I shook my head, "you sound like you know about this....... love, tell me, what do you
feel love for?" "Myself."
I shook my head and allowed a small smile to form, and with that, all of the previous tension seemed to dissolve.
He grinned at the sight of my minuscule smile, "what? It's not that hard to believe, I mean, come on." He gestured to himself in a ridiculous way, and that added to my small smile.
Our food came a moment later, and I shocked it down, eating every last bit of the hot delicious substance.
"My little flower has quite the appetite. Do you want some desert?" "Desert?" I frowned.
His mouth dropped, "are you shitting with me right now?"
I shook my head in confusion, I've heard of desert before , but I've never had it
"Holy fuck. Waiter!" He screamed "get this little flower some of your finest desert."
"You're insane, and foolish." I muttered, and I couldn't even think about this man being a badass killer. He was too...childish to be the warrior everyone thought him to be.
He nodded, "yeah I know, and you're dark and beautiful."
I nodded and leaned my head back in the seat with a small smile on my face as I listened to Kaiyus and his irritating ramble about deserts.
KYLO REN POV
She had looked stunning in that sweater, as I knew she would.
Something inside of me churned when I saw Kaiyus by her side, and when I heard him say they were going to dinner.
I suppose it was my own fault, I knew what kind of cocky bastard Kaiyus was before we even encountered him. Why am I surprised and angered at the fact that he seemed to take a liking to Cora?
I was pacing in the control room. I huffed as I felt my temper begin to rise.
They should be back by now. They have been gone for nearly two hours.
I felt my temper boil over at the thought of Cora, and my saber was out before I knew it, ripping through the now molten metal of my surroundings.
With a final slash, I retracted it.
It had been awhile since I have had one of these...... self encounters, and I forgot how
good they made me feel.
"Ren."
I spun around to see Eryk calmly looking at me. I nodded towards him, "Eryk."
"Can we talk?" The snakelike man requested, and I nodded as we walked and sat down at the control table.
"That Cora girl. She is special, yes?"
I studied his expression, calm, relaxed, and focused. "Special in what way?"
He motioned casually to everything around us, "special in the ways of the force."
"One could say that." I didn't know what he was getting at, did he already know that she may have been created by the force itself?
I showed no emotion on my face, but merely glared at him to continue. "I see it, her eyes hold an evil, her eyes hold pain." He said directly.
I knew what he was talking about, and he was quite right. She had this look in her eyes, a look so empty and emotionless, it could almost be confused with pain.
She was the perfect weapon, one that wouldn't let herself be succumbed to the effects of emotions.
She was the one thing that stood in the way of herself. She was dark, yes. As am I.
We would kill everyone around us, if asked to and not feel anything.
But something inside of me didn't like that she shielded herself from all things in life.
"She's a killer." I said quietly, and for the first time since meeting Cora Drakon, I wanted her to feel something.
I wanted her to feel, anything.
