His Hybrid Mate

Chapter 39

Ch. 39 / 264 Apr 07, 2026

Roxanne covered her mouth in shock.

Roxanne had heard Annette say before that her identity could not be exposed.

She joked, "Are you an illegitimate daughter of some Alpha?"

At that time, Annette looked sad.

Although Annette didn't say anything, Roxanne felt that she was right about it.

"Are you Annette's brother?" Roxanne asked.

Connor turned around and asked, "You know that she has a brother?"

Roxanne said, "She mentioned it before."

Connor did not answer Roxanne's question. He only said, "Then can I take her away now?"

Roxanne nodded. "Please take good care of her."

Connor turned around and looked at Annette in the car sweetly.

It was a rare opportunity, and he certainly had to "take good care" of her.

On the way, Annette rested her head on Connor's shoulder. She held the crystal ball tightly and almost fell asleep.

When the car turned, she suddenly stood up and wanted to throw up.

  "Stop the car."

  The driver immediately pulled over.

Annette opened the door and ran out, throwing up.

Connor got out of the car and patted her back.

"You can't drink. Why did you drink so much?"

Annette turned around and held the tree in front of her.

"Mr. Tree, from now on, you are my family. How about it?"

After that, she grabbed Connor by the collar and said, "Connor, I also have a relative."

Seeing her smile, Connor felt heartache.

He grabbed Annette's shoulders with both hands. "Let's go. I'll take you back."

"I won't go. I want to be with my family. I want to be with my family forever."

Connor whispered in Annette's ear, "I'll get someone to bring your family home, okay?"

  "Really?"

  "I never lie."

Annette held the crystal ball in one hand and propped herself up with the other.

But the next moment, a wave of nausea swept over her, and she threw up on Connor.

Connor was stunned. He had never been through this...

Annette seemed to be fine as she laughed and shook her body. "Connor, look at you."

Connor gritted his teeth. If she wasn't drunk, he would definitely punish her.

He took off his coat and threw it away. He helped her up. "Get in the car and go home."

The crystal ball in Annette's hand fell to the ground. She scrambled to pick it up and held it tightly in her hand again.

"Do you like it so much?" Connor asked doubtfully.

Annette put her hand to her lips and shushed. She looked around carefully and whispered, "Let me tell you. This is a magic ball. It can bring my mother back."

  She laughed.

He pushed her back into the car.

When they returned to Connor's villa, Annette was asleep.

Connor carried her to the room, and Dwayne hurried to help him.

Seeing Connor's ruined clothes, Dwayne was stunned for a moment. He said, "Alpha Connor, I'll take care of Ms. Hall. Please go wash up."

Connor put Annette on the bed and was about to get up, but Annette hugged him tightly as if she was afraid of losing him. "Mom, don't go. I'm scared."

He picked her up again and looked at Dwayne. "You should rest. I can handle this."

He took off his shirt and washed the filth off his body before helping Annette take a shower.

After taking off her clothes, he swallowed hard while looking at her body.

However, Annette hugged him and snuggled into his arms, as if she wanted to get more comfortable.

Connor tried his best to suppress his desire, but he failed.

He closed the shower, carried Annette back to the bedroom, and placed her on the bed.

He kissed her soft and sweet lips.

Annette was suffocated by the sudden kiss and almost could not breathe.

She wrapped her arms around Connor's waist instinctively.

Annette was completely stunned. She could not tell what was real now.

Just as Connor was about to enter her, she covered her eyes and cried.

Annette couldn't control herself. She sobbed and said, "Mom, I hate you. Why don't you take me with you? I don't like this world. I don't like them. Why don't you take me away? Why does everyone else have a good father, except for me?"

Connor hugged her gently. He caressed her fair and smooth back and comforted her softly, "I'm here. It's okay, Annette."

  Annette fell asleep crying.

Connor was hugged tightly by her.

The next day, Annette woke up late. She opened her eyes drowsily and looked around the strange room. She frowned in confusion.

She lowered her head and looked at her body under the blanket, only to find that she was naked. She looked around the room again and began to worry.

  Annette wondered, 'What happened?

  'I remembered drinking with Roxanne.'

  She was about to cry.

Then, the door opened, and Connor came in.

For some reason, the moment she saw Connor, she heaved a sigh of relief.

She scratched her eyebrows and asked, "Why am I here?"

"I am also curious. Last night, you called me. You asked me to take you home and even begged me to take you in. Did something happen?" Connor replied.

Annette blushed and said, "That's impossible. I was drinking with Roxanne last night. How could I call you?"

"I don't know. I only know that you hugged me last night and refused to let go. You even vomited all over me." Connor shrugged.

Annette covered her mouth and said, "I won't do that. I don't remember it."

"I was afraid that you would forget after waking up, so I left the evidence in the yard. I haven't washed it yet. Do you want to go down and take a look?" Connor snorted.

Annette's face instantly turned red. She apologized hurriedly, "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. I must have been really drunk last night."

She was devastated. She patted her head hard and then lay down on the bed.

Connor put some new clothes on the bed and said, "Your clothes are ruined. I picked these for you. Go take a shower, get changed, and come down for breakfast."
