"Baby" A kissed on her lips as the voice went deeper into her neck.
"Wake up, I want to have you again" The voice called to her again as he bent to kiss her on her lips forcing an entrance.
Skylar jolted awake as she pushed Vino off her. She had lay pretending to be asleep, hoping he will let her go but this stupid man with amazing stamina will never let her rest.
"Again?" Skylar groaned at him. She had let him last night because she felt he had missed her so much but after the fifth, she lost count. And now he wants to go at it again.
"Why? I missed you so much. And you know I love you. I just can't resist your body" Vino pleaded as he tried to raise the sheer nightie, she had worn in her defence last night.
Skylar rushed to stop him as she thought of a way out "I know but I'm sore down here. You've been going on and on like a maniac"
That seemed to do the trick as Vino's gentle eyes rose to her face. He reached out to pat her cheek while searching her face to know if she was telling the truth and judging from the hard glare, she gave him. He knew he had overstepped his boundaries.
"I'm sorry," he told her again with all sincerity he could muster before bending to pull her close to his embrace.
"I'm so sorry I hurt you. I just couldn't control my urges with you" He whispered into her hair as they lay in each other's embrace for a long time.
Skylar jolted awake after a while of falling asleep in Vino's arms to meet an empty bed. She stood up to go to the bathroom while wondering where Vino could be?
In the bathroom, Skylar stared into the mirror with a broad smile on her face. Her eyes caught the enormous ring on her index finger, she couldn't help laughing as soon as she remembered asking Vino why he gifted her with an enormous ring.
His reply was so funny that Skylar couldn't help laughing "Because I want everyone to know that you belong to me" He had told her during their ride home after the party.
Skylar suddenly became serious as the enormity of what she had done sank on her "What if, I'm not what he expected? What if he changes his mind after some years? What if____"
"Here you are"
Skylar turned abruptly to the door to see Vino staring at her with a smirk on his face before strolling to her.
"I've been searching all over the house for you but here you are again with your self-pity"
"I wasn't saying anything, you know" Skylar scoffed at him before turning to pick up her brush. She would die before she admitted her inner voice to him.
"Really? I thought I heard you saying__ what if he____" Skylar rushed to cover his mouth with his hands. She couldn't have him completing those words she had told herself earlier without feeling embarrassed.
"It's okay. No need to talk. I know you heard my rants" Skylar told him before turning back to her chores of brushing her teeth.
Vino smiled at her as he moved to hug her from behind to himself "Angel. I've told you repeatedly, I can never get tired of you. Among thousands of women in the world, I chose you. If that couldn't make you proud of yourself then I don't know what will"
Skylar gulped she couldn't control the joy in her heart. Hearing him say this to her has calmed the negative voice in her brain. Now, she could see he loved her so much.
"Since when?" Skylar asked him through the foam on her mouth. She bent to rinse her mouth, about to repeat the question when Vino answered them.
"Since the interview. You were the first woman who had ever aroused the desire in me. I thought I had it hidden deeper but just a glance at you, everything came limping back up"
Skylar smiled fondly at the memory, she could remember that night vividly, it was the same night she was attracted to him. Who would have ever thought that night would begin something so pure and unadulterated like this?
"Thank you" Skylar called as she rushed into his embrace. Trying to tell him she loved him with her actions as words couldn't explain what she felt for him. God knows what she would do if he didn't ask her to marry him?
"For what?" Vino asked as he buried his nose into her hair, while he closed his eyes to the scent of her shampoo. It was like her second skin; he could get addicted to it.
"For choosing me" Skylar replied as she also breathed in his scent. If only she wasn't sore, they would have probably gone at it again.
She opened her mouth to ask him but he beat her to it "Not today, honey. You need to recover. Now, bathe, breakfast is served. Then we could explore the city and plan our wedding. '' Vino swatted her on her bottom before walking out of the door.
Skylar pointed at him in shock. She still couldn't understand how he was able to read her perfectly. She shrugged and turned to pull off her clothes when his last words sank into her "Can we take a rain check on that? I would love to go check on my mother and probably give her the good news" Skylar screamed, hoping Vino was still in the room to hear her.
His reply came a short while later "No problem but I'm having you to myself tonight, okay?"
Skylar smiled as she felt goosebumps on her skin. She couldn't help feeling happy that he wanted her. She didn't bother responding because he could even tell her reply already
"Tck! Like I would rather be anywhere else" Skylar told herself as she stepped into the shower, with the water cascading down her back, she could finally calm down that everything was alright.

Skylar stepped out of the house after leaving the keys with Maria who had come to help her clean.
She rode the elevator to the ground floor suddenly missing Vino who had left in a rush. She guessed it was an important meeting that he couldn't cancel as he kept apologizing to her as he dressed.
She smiled as she stepped out of the elevator and waved her hands to a taxi that passed but he didn't stop. Just then a car pulled to a stop in front of her, Skylar looked at it in shock as she watched the driver come out. She couldn't help being happy as she thought it was Vino who came to take her to her mom.
"Tck! Always being too protective of me" Skylar told herself with a scoff but instead of Vino, his driver stepped out of the car as the smile disappeared from Skylar's face.
"Mr. Cross?" Skylar asked in shock, even though she was expecting Vino but this was unexpected____
"Miss Evans' ' Mr. Cross greeted her with a bow as he subtly glanced through her. Since the first day he saw her, he had known she was here to stay. He couldn't help being glad that she and his boss were finally together. His boss deserved a woman like her, not all those skinny gold diggers of a woman who was only interested in his money. What was her name again? Yes, Elise. He was glad that she was finally arrested.
Mr. Cross came out of his thoughts as he noticed Skylar watching him with confusion. He opened his mouth to explain but the sound of her ringing tone caused him to shut up in seconds.
"I'm sorry. I need to take this, it might be my mom, she's expecting me" Skylar apologized to him as her hands rummaged through her handbag. But it wasn't her mom. As soon as she saw the caller's ID, her eyes lit up like the street light.
"Hmm! Someone is missing me already" Was Skylar's greeting as soon as she picked up the call.
"Of course, I am. What to do when my wife has me wrapped around her fingers like a puppet to her master" Vino replied as he frowned at the board members who were gazing at him in shock. They were in an important meeting but instead of Vino attending to them, he was talking to God knows who.
"I missed you. Where are you now?" Vino asked as he brought his voice down to whispers as he didn't want to risk anyone hearing him
"I missed you too, '' Skylar whispered back as she closed her eyes to savour his husky voice. She wished he was here right now. She likes the way his breath fans the nape of her neck. It makes the butterflies in her stomach dance.
Skylar cleared her throat as she remembered the question Vino had asked her "I'm just leaving the house now"
"Good. Jack will drive you to your mom's, okay" Vino told her as he turned to the projector where the presentation was on but he wasn't seeing anything. His mind and body were on Skylar. He wished there wasn't anything like his work or her mom between them. Then he could have had her to himself today.
"Sure. isn't that too much trouble? I could easily take the bus, you know?"
"Nonsense!!" Vino spats bitterly like he couldn't imagine his wife to be taking public transport. He dreaded another man lusting after his wife's curvaceous body. She belongs to him.
"From today, you are banned from taking public transport. If you want, you can use any of the cars in my garage. They are yours''
"Fine" Skylar succumbed as she saw this was pointless. There was no use arguing with Vino when his mind was made up. It's no wonder he was a ruthless businessman.
"I'll do that. Bye," Skylar called as she dropped the call and stepped into the car which was held open by Jack.
Jack got into the driver's seat and pulled out of the driveway. His eyes watched Skylar subtly as she typed on her phone with a smile on her face.
He suddenly remembers what he wanted to tell her "Congratulation on your engagement, Miss Evans"
Skylar raised her head in shock as she wasn't expecting that. Her eyes went to the silver ring in her hands as she turned it around in her hands. She still couldn't believe it. It seems like a dream to her.
Suddenly remembering her manners, she turned to smile at Mr. Cross "Thank you" She replied shyly before going back to her phone where she was chatting with Paula who was catching her up on everything she had missed while she was kidnapped
Jack drove in silence after he had gotten a response from Skylar. He couldn't believe she had chatted with him when other women would have looked down on him___ a mere driver.
"Such a humble lady" Jack mumbles to himself with a smile as he shakes his head, glad to Skylar as his madam.
He pulled into Skylar's mom's flower shop and got out about to go open the door for Skylar but he beat him to it.
"Ma'am, you're not allowed to do that, '' Mr. Cross told her as he pointed to the car door but Skylar wasn't hearing any of it.
"Mr. Cross_____" Skylar was about to say but Jack cut her off
"It's Jack, ma'am"
"Sure, Jack" Skylar tried again as she plastered a smile on her face.
"From now onward, I will get my door and you can speak freely to me. I thought I told you that"
"Yes, Ma'am____" Seeing the glare on her eyes, Jack rushed to correct himself.
"I mean, Skylar" The name sounds foreign in his mouth but if that was what the missus wanted, Jack will give it to her.
"That's better" Skylar smiled at him as she turned to take the route to her mom's apartment while she ignored the shop since her mom hadn't been going there.
It was one of the gossip Paula had told her after she had recovered and she couldn't help blaming herself. If only she wasn't kidnapped, her mom wouldn't have neglected her passion but if for anything, Skylar was glad that Elise was finally receiving the punishment she deserves.
Skylar stopped at the porch; she was about to ring the bell when she noticed the door opened. She opened it wider to go in when she noticed Jack still around and staring at her.
"Are you not leaving?" Skylar turned to ask him in shock. She thought he was meant to drop her and go wait for Vino. Why then was he still here?
"Mr. Thompson said I had to drop you home after you are done" Jack replied as he raised his hands to wipe his face which was pooling with sweat under the hot sun.
"Don't worry about that. You can leave, I'll find a way home" Skylar reassures him as she watches him get into the car and speed off probably to Vino's office. She hoped he wouldn't be annoyed with her decision.
She shrugs and steps into the room as she is comforted by his ring on her finger. She paused as she took into the darkroom which smelled of tobacco.
Skylar's heart escalated in her chest as she searched the room searching for her mother. Was her mother doing drugs now? Was this about her being kidnapped? Where could she be? Skylar wondered in her mind as she closed the door and stepped into the room.
She was greeted immediately by a shining gun which was pointed at her chest and a voice she dreaded to hear before she fainted_____
