Noah's office had two doors. When you opened the first you could see through the second which was a glass door. Only him could authorize the opening of the second door with a device on his seat that accepted only his finger print.
I opened Noah's door using the key pass he had handed to me which was for the first door.
I couldn't stop the smile that spread on my face just at the mere thought of seeing him again after our date on Tuesday.
But the smile on my face quickly died down when I saw a naked woman standing in front of his desk.
My hands immediately fell to my side as I watched her walk round his desk to meet him while he laid back on his chair glaring at her.
She was saying something to him in such a seductive way I felt as if my heart had melted. He replied her but the office was soundproof so I couldn't hear him.
All I could hear was my heart racing fast against my chest. I was jealous and angry and convinced that he was not in any way my Noah. The Noah I knew only had eyes for me and won't entertain a naked girl or any other girl for that matter.
This Noah had just taken me out on a date, it hadn't even be up to a week and he was already entertaining other women. I felt betrayed even though he wasn't mine. Maybe it was just an ordinary date to him. But why did he make me feel it was special?
Maybe that's what he did to other of his employees. I guess I was not as special as I thought.
I had the urge to badge into the office just to stop whatever they were doing but It was not in me to be so reckless, at least not any more.
I tried so hard over the years to stop making impulsive decisions and I was not ready to let someone I just met make me change. but gosh it hurt. It hurt more because I had hoped that he was my Scar.
Maybe It was time I forgot about Scar and stopped seeing him in all albinos.
But giving up on finding Scar was like giving up on myself, I just couldn't. If I did I was so sure that I would drown in a well of despair.
I swallowed. I would not give up on finding Scar, but it was clear that my boss wasn't him.
I turned to leave."Fuck it!" I sighed. I wouldn't let myself cry over a man again.
"Hey dear, where are you going?" Andrea called to me, making me stop on my tracks. I sighed and turned back to meet her searching eyes
"The boss is busy so I will just come back later." I replied, eager to leave and bury myself with work just to forget what I just saw.
"Busy?" She asked, sounding perplexed. "He has been waiting for you? He canceled all his appointments this morning. Are you sure of what you are saying or did you just get cold feet?"
"Of course not! Common. I didn't get cold feet." I replied, exasperated. "There is a woman in his office." I finally said with a small smile which I hoped did not portray my anger. I didn't want to tell her but I figured that she already knew and If she didn't, she would still end up knowing. She was his secretary after all.
"I just don't want to interrupt their meeting so I will come later." My voice was laced with subtle rage and Andrea did notice it because she smiled mischievously at me.
She chuckled darkly as if she knew that I was raging with Jealousy and anger but trying my very best to hide it. "He needs those documents with you right? He won't like it if you leave with them."
"They are personal so I'm not sure he really needs them. Besides I will be back later. I will just wait in my office till they are done. So do me a favour when she comes out just give a call to the PR department they will send it to me."
Andrea snickered now and I rolled my eyes. I was annoyed that she found my anger amusing. But then if I wasn't so angry I too would have laughed at my unreasonable and unwarranted Jealousy, after all he wasn't mine to begin with.
