It was finally the day when the Alpha and the Luna of the Blazing Red Moon pack, decided to go for their business trip at the city as planned before.
Right now, Scott and Emilia were outside the Alpha's house with Belle, Arnold, and the Beta.
Belle was sad to see her parents weren't going to be around for a while, and her heart arched, but there was nothing she could do. Trying not to cry, but her tears betrayed her, and she shut her eyes tightly.
" Oh dear Belle, I promise we will come as fast as possible. So, try and be strong okay?" Emilia embraced her daughter and whispered softly to her ear.
The Luna was also going to miss her daughter, but the business trip was something that couldn't be ignored, so it was better to face it now.
" Come here Belle," Scott gestured for his daughter to come forward, and Belle moved close to him.
He also embraced his daughter and kissed the crown of her head,
" Be strong! You are an Alpha princess!" He encouraged his daughter, which the latter nodded and sniffed slowly.
" I will dad. Am going to miss you."
Belle looked up at her father and wiped away her tears.
Scott nodded and smiled a little at Belle, before turning to face his Beta.
" You know what to do."
The Beta face was stoic but he nodded, seemingly understanding what the Alpha said.
" Yes."
" Wait, where is Lexa?"
Emilia looked around, trying to see if she could catched a glimpse of Lexa, but she didn't see her.
Belle rolled her eyes at her mother's words and scoffed inwardly.
" She is of no importance mom, so there is no reason for her to be here," Belle replied to her mother and wondered why her mother cared about Lexa. The girl was just an ordinary slave with no special qualities, so why did her mother liked the girl?
" Don't say that Belle," The Luna gave Belle a displeased gaze and cautioned her. Then, without waiting for any answer from her daughter, she went back inside the Alpha's house, walking towards Lexa's room.
Scott knew why his mate was concerned about Lexa, and so was he. That why he didn't question Emilia when she went back inside, even though his daughter was waiting for him to say something.
He only shrugged and used his now little free time to discuss some things with his Beta.
Arnold quietly watched how the whole scene was going, and he was also quite surprised on why the Luna asked about Lexa.
Before he came to this very Pack, he already heard how Scott and Emilia spared Lexa, who was a rogue, and the reason why it was surprising was because Scott was known to not ever spare any rogue. He was an Alpha, who didn't tolerate rogue, so that was why it shocked almost every werewolves of his Pack as to why he spared Lexa.
Arnold's curiosity was now growing to it's peek, but he kept quiet and patiently observed the scene in front of him.
Emilia got to Lexa's room and knocked the door gently, " Lexa, are you in there?"
But she got no reply, and she knitted her brows, thinking of where Lexa could be if she wasn't in her room.
" Luna?"
Lexa didn't expect to see Emilia in front of her room and frowned slightly, as she made her way towards the Luna.
She was just coming from the backyard and wanted to get something from her room, but she wasn't anticipating to see the Luna.
" Lexa......"
Emilia turned back when Lexa called her, and she immediately went forward to embrace the girl.
Lexa was stunned but didn't hug Emilia back. She only scratched her head awkwardly and wondered why the Luna was hugging her.
" Is everything alright?" She inquired curiously while arching her brows upward..
Emilia nodded and released Lexa, now staring at the girl's forest green eyes. She felt it looked similar to Scott's eyes, but she shook her head instantly, dismissing the thought.
Maybe am just overthinking, she assured herself inwardly.
" I just want to say goodbye, cause me and the Alpha are going on a business trip to the city", She told Lexa and smiled at her. Then, she rubbed the girl's cheek tenderly.
"Oh....." Lexa parted her lips, but only a word came out. She didn't know why, but she felt like a part of her was leaving her when she heard what Emilia said.
Lexa was sad and didn't want to let Emilia to leave. The feeling was somehow foreign to her, and she wanted to comprehend it but there was no time, so she pushed it off. All the while, her expression didn't change, but she changed the words she planned to utter before.
" I wish you a safe trip then."
Lexa bowed her head a bit and gave a wee smile to the Luna.
Emilia was a bit disappointed to hear what Lexa said. She expected a more caring words from her, but it seems Lexa wasn't the type.
With a curt nod, she patted Lexa's back and left the girl alone.
" Take care."
"I will Luna," Lexa assured Emilia politely and also moved towards her room.
The girl was a smart one, and she easily caught Emilia's disappointed face, but she said nothing. It was confusing to her, but she wasn't in the mood to dwell on that.

Emilia got back to the front yard of the Alpha's house and saw Scott discussing intently with his Beta.
"Am back," She announced her presence, even though she was aware they might have known due to their sharp ears.
" Alright then, I think it's time for us to go but before I leave, I will like to address Arnold...," Scott cleared his throat and turned to face Arnold. Then, he continued, " Take care of my Princess, am counting on you!"
" Yes Arnold," Emilia added and smiled, while she held her mate's hand.
" Don't worry about that Alpha Scott and Luna Emilia, you can trust me on this," Arnold nodded and promised , while his lips was curled upward.
" It is settled then."
Scott went over to Arnold's side and squeezed his shoulder lightly.
Emilia embraced Arnold for a brief moment.
Soon, both Emilia and Scott took their leave.
The Beta was now in charge, and he proceeded to do his duty, the moment the Luna and the Alpha were gone.
