From Gamma to Luna

Chapter 87

Ch. 87 / 98 Jan 10, 2026

Francis’ POV

Her surprised look satisfied me. Yes, as long as she could stay here, she could still be a warrior, so please don’t escape from me.

But it was time to leave. I didn’t know if it was just my illusion, I had a feeling that her gaze fell on my veil from time to time.

No, she couldn’t possibly want to...

To be safe, I would leave now.

However, it was still late. As I was about to turn around and leave, she jumped up and pounced on me.

I knew it!

When Angel wanted to know something, she must figure it out immediately. She couldn’t wait for a single second.

And she had the gift of speed. I hadn’t seen anyone whose gift matched their personality so perfectly.

Well, at least she wanted to see my face and had an interest in me. And I didn’t need to worry about her escaping for now.

Goddess knew how torturous the last night was to me. If she decided to escape, she could do it in a second. I organized a group of warriors responsible for guarding overnight. Still, I lost sleep last night.

I had already told the guards to pay attention to her movement. As long as she got up from the bed, the guards would rush over and stop her.

When she jumped out of the bed, the guards closest to me stood in between and stopped Angel.

Angel was not a girl who would quit easily. She changed her direction and wanted to tear apart my veil from behind.

I stepped away from her and used my alpha tone, “Angel! Stop it.”

She looked at me as if I was an idiot. From that look I knew that she wouldn’t stop it. She began to use her gift and moved quickly around me.

It surprised me that she dared to be so rude to an alpha that she didn’t know.

The guards were also given a start. They were so shocked that they forgot to control their expressions.

I shot the guards a look. All of them rushed over. Angel needed a lesson. If she really took off my veil and saw my face, I couldn’t imagine what would happen. She would be severely punished, which was the best scenario. And the worst scenario, she might die. It would be disastrous if she became Luna and was still so willful.

She was so quick that it seemed like she was flying, but I knew her gift wouldn’t be of much use in a limited space. That was why I arranged her into a room, instead of a spacious house.

The guards stood in a circle with Angel inside while I stepped away from the enclosed space. I already told them how to deal with Angel’s gift, but I didn’t expect that they would use it so soon.

The guards began to narrow the enclosed space.

Soon, I heard the sound of fighting followed by a cry of pain. It was Angel’s voice. Did they really sprain her leg so that she couldn’t use her gift? It almost broke my heart, but there was nothing I could do.

I turned around with my back to her and waved my hands at the guards.

It was time to leave. While Angel was suffering from pain, the torture was same for me. And it needed to stop as quickly as possible.

I clenched my fists and forced me to stay calm. “Don’t worry. The guards won’t really hurt her. It’s just a lesson,” I thought to myself.

I walked to the door, followed by the guards.

I had already walked out, but I still heard her voice.

“Why can’t I see your face?” she sobbed and sounded really sad. I didn’t dare to turn back to look at her in case I might be out of control. So I left the room as quickly as possible.

“Elsa, go to see her,” I ran to Elsa’s room.

“Who?” She just woke up from a nap and yawned.

“Angel! She’s injured and looks really sad.” Elsa looked sleepy, so I shook her shoulders wildly.

“OK! Stop!” she pushed me away. “I can cure her. But I can’t make her happy because I’m not the one who made her sad, understand?” She patted her face, got herself together, and left the room.

After she left, I collapsed on her sofa.

Elsa was right.

She couldn’t make Angel happy.

And I was the one who made Angel sad.

Now I felt like a jerk again, a helpless jerk who wanted to turn over a new leaf but found nothing he could do.

Angel must think that I was a real badass, an arrogant alpha who showed no respect to his mate. She must be so sad. Was she still crying now?
