ANYWHERE ANYTIME
Euron was glaring at me the next day during breakfast. I don’t even know why he’s here. He usually lives in his condominium, so, what is he doing here?
I tried my best to ignore his death stares to the best of my ability. I concentrated on my food even though I’m not really hungry.
My phone vibrated on my pocket and I immediately opened the message.
From: Kaisser Bennett
Good morning! I’m on my way to your house. See you! I love you.
I bit my lip to stop a smile from lighting up from my face. Damn it! Just one text and my heart is about to leap out of my chest once again.
I heard someone cough. I looked up and saw that it was Euron. He’s staring at me like I’ve done something wrong.
Euben, who was sitting just beside him, blinked at me. “Who texted you, Nique?” he asked innocently making all of their attention on me.
I glanced at Euron and saw his jaw clench. What’s wrong with him?
Mom looked at me, waiting for my answer. Dad looked up to me from the newspaper. Eujean stopped eating and I think she’s also looking at me. Eurick was swallowing when he looked at me.
I gulped. I don’t know if this is the right time to tell them about Kai. I don’t think they’d approve it, especially my parents. I know that they wouldn’t want me having an affair with my CEO, who’s still dating someone else.
Four years ago, my relationship with Kai was a secret. It’s because my parents wouldn’t want me to be in a relationship. They didn’t want me any distraction from school.
I shook my head. “Ashley,” I lied. “She’s asking me if I can pick her up later…” I continued and silently prayed that Euron wouldn’t be a jerk and spit everything about last night.
But come to think of it, why did I even say that Kai’s my boyfriend? I’m just too stupid!
I saw Euron smirk. Please, don’t bring me down today.
Everyone seemed to have believed what I said except for Euron who’s still shooting daggers in me. Well, it is my fault, anyway.
Mom nodded. “How’s your work, by the way?” she asked, changing the topic.
I smiled. “It’s good. I think I’ve adjusted,” I replied as I kept my phone inside my pocket without replying to Kai’s message.
Mom and Dad smiled. Of course, they would be so happy. They wanted me to work in that company so much. I’m wondering what they would think of me when they knew that I am in a relationship with Kai.
We talked and I silently felt relieved that the topic about who texted died down. Euron didn’t say anything further and I am grateful for that.
After breakfast, I immediately went out and saw Kai leaning on his Mercedez Benz in a formal suit. His hair is pushed back but he’s still looking so divine. I don’t really know what’s better, his hair disheveled or his pushed back hair style?
He smiled and stood straight the moment he saw me.
I bit my lip and walked closer to him. “Hi,” I greeted.
He smiled wider. “Good morning, gorgeous!” he replied.
I smiled back and planted a kiss on his cheek. I don’t know why I did that. I just thought that it’s better to take more steps to him. I want him to know that I have changed, that my love for him is stronger than ever.
“Let’s go?” he said, biting his lower lip. Damn. I’d like to kiss him right now.
I nodded as he opened the door for me. Soon, Kai, I’m going to let you meet my parents soon.
We drove off to the building with his fingers laced with mine. He would kiss my knuckles from time to time and I would feel all the butterflies rising from my gut. What’s this feeling and why don’t I want it to go away?
“Can you stay in my office the whole day?” he asked me after parking the car.
I looked at him and he’s already staring at me. I narrowed my eyes at him. “I have a lot of things to do, Kaisser Bennett,” I told him.
He pouted. “Me, too, honey, but I still want you in my office the whole day,” he replied as he caressed my cheek. “Just one night and I miss you so bad. Is this wrong?”
I bit my lip and shook my head. His words would always get to me. Sometimes, I even feel like he doesn’t need to beg for something because I will gladly give anything to him. That’s how he affects me so much.
He leaned in and enclosed his lips with mine. I smiled through the kiss and responded. I would never get tired of his lips. I would never get tired of making him own me.
He bit my lower lip before breaking off. “Today, I will see to it that everything will be official between us,” he said as he brushed his thumb on my cheek so gently I could even shiver.
I nodded and smiled. I didn’t know how there were tears brimming in my eyes that same moment he uttered those words. I’m so happy. I’m just so happy that I want time to stop.
“Why are you crying?” he asked, worried and with confused eyes.
I smiled and chuckled. “I’m just happy,” I told him. “I’m happy about us.”
He sighed in relief as he heard my response.
I stared at him and pulled him in for a kiss again. Damn! I want his lips on mine all day. Is it wrong to want him this much?
He immediately welcomed my lips with his and I could feel his hand on my waist, rubbing it up and down.
I moaned as pleasure dawned on me. I sucked on his lower lip and I heard him moan. Damn it! Am I this turned on?
I bit my lip and broke off from the kiss. I had to stop or else, we won’t be able to get out of this car.
“I love you,” I told him softly, meaning each word.
He shut his eyes and connected our foreheads. “Damn. It’s really different hearing it from you,” he uttered as he caressed my cheeks. “And fuck everything that will get in our way because I love you, too. So damn much.”
I smiled and felt so complete. Nothing would ever complete me more than him.
“We need to get to the office.” I told him.
He groaned. “I want to be with you the whole day!” He beamed and I chuckled as I fixed myself and got my bag.
“I’ll see you later,” I told him and planted a kiss on his cheek.
He sighed in defeat. “I’ll see you,” He replied and pulled me closer for another deep kiss.
I gasped. “Kai!” I scolded him.
But he just laughed and shrugged. “I’m gonna miss you the whole day, honey,” he told me before letting me go.
I shook my head and walked towards the building first with a smiling face. I greeted the guard happily as I walked to the lift.
When I reached the lift, I saw Juneau waiting for the lift to open up, too. He smiled when he saw me.
“Hi, Eunique! Good morning!” he greeted.
I smiled and nodded. “Good morning!” I greeted back. “Busy day?” I asked.
He snickered and shrugged. “I don’t really know what’s in store for me today,” he replied. “I wish it’s not busy, though.” He smiled. “By the way, can I ask if we can have lunch again? Together?” he asked.
I smiled at him. “I’ll see,” I replied. “I’m kind of busy with all the applicants and some issues from the employees,” I pouted.
He laughed. “Yes. I heard about what happened to the applicants,” he replied.
I looked at him. I wonder where he knew about it. Is it a huge issue? Or is he contacting Kai’s parents? Are they close? But then again, why am I suddenly so curious?
“It’s getting better, though,” I said. “It’s not that complicated anymore.”
He nodded. “I heard from Paulo, yes.” He replied.
I smiled. So he’s close to Paulo Bennett…
“Good morning.”
I almost froze when I heard Kai’s voice from behind. He sounded so mad and authoritative. I couldn’t even get to look at him because I’m almost quivering.
Juneau smiled weakly and nodded as he looked ahead. I stared at him and felt sad. How hard must it be to be an illegitimate child?
I felt Kai’s presence from behind me as we all entered the elevator. It was a quiet ride and awkward as well. When the lift opened for Juneau to get off, he looked at me. “I’ll text you later at lunch,” he smiled.
I nodded and watched the door close after him. I felt Kai’s heavy breathing from my neck. In an instant, he pinned me on the elevator and pressed the stop button.
“Lunch?” he asked in a menacing voice. “You’re meeting at lunch?”
I gulped at his question and felt his hand roaming to my thighs. Dammit! I’m wearing a skirt and his fingers are in between my thighs!
“I own you, alright. I may sound so possessive but that’s only because I do believe that I own you,” he whispered as he kissed the nook of my neck. His hand went up and I could feel it on my core. I moaned as he massaged it. “Make me jealous and I’ll see to it that you’ll feel me. Anywhere. Anytime,” he breathed.
“See you in my office in thirty,” he finished as he sucked a sensitive spot on my neck.
