It had been three hours and Damien still hadn't returned. I was sick with worry. I thought that I not going behind him, giving him time would work and he would come back.
I walked out of the room after putting on a robe. I frowned as I looked around. There were so many doors. Aimlessly, I walked up the corridor and came to a dead end. I walked the other way and found a staircase. I walked up the stairs, cursing myself for not paying attention when Damien brought me here.
I looked around and walked smack into someone. When his arms went around my waist, and sparks erupted all over my body, I knew that it was Damien.
I looked into his dark eyes. He looked calm and...amused. He raised his eyebrows, "What are you doing here?"
I blushed and shrugged. "Looking for you. You...are you still mad?" I asked.
He shrugged and I got my answer. I looked away, making sure he didn't see the tears in my eyes. He wouldn't understand what it was like to have a mate that every other woman wanted for herself.
"Are you hungry?" he asked and I just nodded. Hopefully he would eat with me. He took my hand in his and my eyes went to out intertwined hands. "Let's go."
"Um..." I stammered and he looked at me questioningly. "Should I change?"
"We are the only people in this yacht. And the staff." he said and I nodded. We walked to the dining room and throughout the way all I could think of was how to make it up to him.
"Hanna," Damien's voice brought me out of my musings. I looked at him, only to realize that he was holding out a chair for me. I sat down automatically.
"What would you like?" he asked and I shrugged.
"Whatever they have." I answered and he frowned. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't even notice when the waiter came and took our orders. Damien must have ordered for me, because the next thing I know, there was a plate of food in front of us.
"We are going to this island near Hawaii. We will be there in another hour or so. I thought that it would be easier for you to shift if we went to a non-territory." he informed me.
When he said shift, my ears perked up and my eyes met his. I knew that my excitement reflected in them, because he grinned at me. I noticed that the grin didn't reach his eyes, and it saddened me.
Maybe this was all what love was about. Giving your fullest even when you were mad at the person you loved. Taking care of them, making them feel cherished. I knew that I had to clear the air between us now or it would only become a bigger misunderstanding.
"I'm sorry," I whispered and he looked at me in surprise. "I just... You don't know how it feels to have a mate that every woman wants, and to know about your past... That you were almost someone else's mate... It just got to me."
"Hanna." he interrupted me, but I continued.
"I have only had one serious relationship and," a bitter chuckle passed my lips, "He didn't even think it was worth fighting for me. Maybe one day...you will think that I'm not worth the fight, the time."
Tears ran down my face, and I looked away, no longer interested in the food. I didn't realize that Damien was in front of me, on his knees, until he took my hands in his.
"I know it’s hard for you," he whispered, "And I should be the one apologizing for acting like such a...bad mate. I just snapped. And there may be other women who want me, but I only one woman and that's you. I would gladly take a bullet for you. I will never stop fighting for you."
I tried to smile, but failed miserably. It made me happy that there was no one else for him, but...
"But what Hanna?" Damien asked, and I saw the concern in his eyes, in his voice. I shook my head.
"I love you," he said, "And there isn't going to be anyone else for me. I have been cheated on, I know how it feels."
I backtracked. Rita. And Gavin. I wanted to tell him, I didn't think I could hide such a huge thing from him, but it wasn't my place to tell him.
"We're almost there," Damien said. "But I think we should just go in whatever. We are going to shift anyways. I'll direct the staff to keep the stuff in the house on the island."
"Will it hurt?" I asked. He grinned. I scowled at him. It wasn't funny. Female werewolves could shift only after they mated and the male was supposed to help them do that.
"Not that much. It will feel like that when your bones are changing, but it won't really hurt." he answered. "But eating helps."
He didn't have to tell me twice. The next minute I was downing my food, not even knowing what I was eating. He chuckled and kissed my cheek.
"What?" I muttered, aware that I looked like one of those teenagers at McDonald's.
"Should I be worried that my wife eats like a pig?" he chuckled and I glared at him. I picked up the spoon and threw it at him. He glared at me, but I saw the laughter in his eyes.
"Are we going to start a food fight bunny?" he whispered and I stared at him in surprise. He wasn't anywhere near me, but his voice was as if he was right here next to me. "In your head, sweet cheeks." he boasted and I realized what he was talking about. We could send each other messages through our mating link.
"Nope. Tell me about shifting," I said and he instantly became serious.
"Your wolf is already present in your body. But the only reason you can't shift before mating is because you aren't strong enough. All you have to do is bring your wolf to surface. Channel all your feelings into bringing your wolf alive." He explained.
"Channel my wolf?"
"All your emotions, Hanna," Damien answered, "The love you feel, your anger...everything. Only the first time. Then your wolf will be asking to be let out."
I nodded. It made sense. "Will you shift with me?" I asked. I wanted him to shift with me.
"After you finish your shift. I will always be there Hanna." Damien promised. I knew that this wasn't only for the shift. He was saying this because of my breakdown. He wanted to assure me, make me understand that he wasn't going to leave. And if possible, I loved him even more for that.
"I know," I grinned and stood up, walking to him. "And I've been a bad girl, so punish me, as hard as you can, Alpha."
He sucked in a breath. "We don't have long."
"How much more time?" I asked, my plan already in place.
"Ten minutes," he groaned as I rubbed my hand against his crotch. Without any word, I got on my knees, folding them beneath my legs and took his already hard cock out of his pants. He hissed as I stroked him, using just my nails.
I leaned down and took him in my mouth, teasing him. He groaned as I sucked just his head, pumping him with my hand.
"Fuck," he hissed and I smiled, liking the power. I sucked him harder, taking him further into my mouth, he groaned. I ran my tongue along his underside, earning another growl from him.
I wasn't being fast, I took my time, teasing him, testing him. I could tell that he was trying to hold back. I heard the shuffling behind me and I ducked further into the table.
"Mr. Black?" the man said. "We have reached. Would you like ne to get your luggage out?"
Right when he finished his sentence, I bit Damien's cock, making him curse.
"Sir?"
I kept on sucking him, as spurts of his cum filled my mouth. "Ah...yes." Damien almost groaned. I stopped, starting only when I heard footsteps again. Damien's hands went under my armpits and he lifted me up.
He had a half angry half lustful expression on his face. "Now you are really going to get punished bunny," he smirked.
I grinned, "Bring it on."
He looked surprised, but covered it up. He took my hand and we walked out of the yacht. It was almost midnight, and the island bore an isolated look. These islands were basically no man's land of the werewolf world. There was no territory as such here, but there was someone like an Alpha to keep control.
"Remember what I said Hanna," Damien said. "Channel your emotions. You will be able to shift back into your human form whenever you want after that."
I nodded, all the playfulness gone. I had waited so long for this, and now that I was finally going to shift, I was not going to be a coward and back out.
Damien led me inside the forest. Once we were away from the yacht he left my hand. "I'll be right here if you need my help. But I want you to try and do it first."
I nodded, not sure if he could see me in the dark. I thought of all the love I felt for Damien, my family, my job. I thought of the old Alpha, Rick and I was surprised at how angry I got. I could feel something turn to life within me. I could feel the change.
I felt my muscles become stronger, I could smell the sea even though we were almost one mile away. I was aware of Damien, his scent, his heart beating loudly.
I felt my bones turn into jelly for a moment, and it was as if I had been affected by anesthesia. The next moment I was on the ground, on all fours. I turned around and faced Damien. I could see him clearly, even though it was dark.
He grinned. "You look beautiful."
'I want you to shift,' I murmured in his head. He grinned and pulled off his shorts. He closed his eyes and the next thing I knew, he was standing in front of me in wolf form. His wolf was amazing. It was a dark brown-grey color and he was massive.
'How about we play catch?' Damien suggested.
I grinned at him and took off into the forest at full speed.
